Sydney's 2nd Birthday

Sydney's 2nd birthday had a princess theme. (Way to get another use out of a Halloween costume, right....)

Doesn't everyone look beautiful in their royal finery? My mom made Tyler his handsome prince costume so he wouldn't have to keep dressing up in princess clothes! We got Sydney a kitten for her birthday. I love how surprised she looks in this picture even though she had already had Gus for a week!
Sydney and Aubrey making us all laugh with their antics! They both really wanted to play with the stick horse from Papa. He was right, "every princess needs a pony."

Sole Mates

Sydney became obsessed with dress-up princess shoes when she saw Aubrey's about a week ago. Susan decided that she would get Sydney some for her birthday and she gave them to Syd early. And ever since then, she wears them non-stop. Her favorites are the Snow White shoes. Little Ally (whom the shoes just about fit) told us they were the most comfortable.

Build-a-Bear

On a recent mall trip with my mom, Grandma D., Maddie and Sydney, we walked by Build-a-Bear. I saw the sign advertising $10 animals. That sounded like a deal to me, so we went on in. Since I wasn't planning for anything photo worthy, I didn't bring my camera. I did have my new phone though and I don't hate the pictures it took. Of course they don't compare to my digital camera, but my phone will definitely do in a pinch.

Sydney loves her bear, Princess. And I love how her legs are crossed in all the pictures.

Aren't They a Scream?

When we went on our little adventure to take ghost pictures (this post) we also had some fun posing with the statues in the reflections park. One statue base had no statue on it so we told the kids to pose like they statues. The cousins went from this

to this
in about 30 seconds. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture with all three mouths open super wide. But trust me, they were all screaming. Loudly.

Halloween Fun

Look at this adorable Aubrey monkey.

Maddie designed her costume all by herself and my mom made the skirt. She couldn't wear her mask at school or the YM/YW dance so everyone thought she was an angel even though she was really a swan.
Jimmy wanted to dress up as Ace Frehley from KISS, but I thought we had silver face paint when we didn't.
Sydney wanted a funny face on her pumpkin.
Candy....
Candy....
Candy....
and more candy....

Actually, she didn't get too much candy at the trunk or treat and then we gave some of that away when we got home.
