Arizona Fun

Okay, so our weekend trip to Arizona didn't start off too well. We were late getting on the road (but for once it wasn't Jimmy's fault!), Jimmy had to drive 18 miles on a dirt road with his new rims and tires, I booked the hotel rooms for the wrong weekend (Jimmy says I need a brain scan now!) and I forgot my camera (which I apparently didn't forget-but I didn't find it until we got home and I was unpacking). Despite the rocky beginnings, there were some fun moments along the way.

Jimmy loved the Grand Canyon Skywalk. You walk right out over the canyon on a glass bridge. You can look straight down and you feel like you are standing on air. (Or so says Jimmy. I was too cheap to pay the $29.95 to walk on it. Especially after the $20 parking fee and the $29.95 "bus pass" each person had to buy just to get to the canyon views.

Of course, we had to do the traditional Old West photos while in Sedona.
You'll have to wait until I get my disposable camera pictures developed and scanned for the other vacation pictures. I really missed not having (well, really, not knowing I had) my digital camera!

Easter Egg Hunt

On Thursday, Grandma D. was kind enough to have a a nice Easter Egg hunt for Sydney, Tyler, Aubrey, Nathan and Amy (the little girl of one of her co-workers that she was watching for the day). We also dyed Easter Eggs (although Sydney enjoyed cracking all her eggs on the table instead of dying them.) She did pretty well when I gave her a crayon to color on her eggs!

Sydney wanted to eat all of her candy at once of course!

Tyler and Sydney do not care for the yolks of the hard-boiled eggs. Aubrey ate a little of it although she mostly enjoy playing with it!

Easter Dress

Sydney had to wear her Easter dress to church last Sunday since we won't be there this Sunday. We are going to Sedona, Arizona with Jimmy's family. Doesn't she look cute?

You've gotta love this pose!

Easter Fun

So, I finally charged my camera since I knew I would need to use it today. First of all, I took a picture of Sydney's haircut....FINALLY:
Here it is. No one can call her "Crypt-keeper hair" now!

We went to the city Easter egg hunt today complete with photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Sydney found him (or her?) quite intriguing. I found it to be rather freaky. No wonder there were many screaming kids placed on its lap!

The actually Easter egg hunt was more like a mad dash to see how much candy the kids could try to shove in their baskets. Luckily Sydney and I ran up to some stuff, threw a few things in her basket and ran out of there!

On the way home we had to stop by the park of course and play for a bit.

Maddie is such a nice aunt! Poor "squinty eyes" Sydney. She really needed her sunglasses!

Hmmm...I have nothing really to say....

I decided that I needed a new post but I don't really have anything to post about. My camera is dead and I need to charge it but I keep forgetting. I should make a post about Sydney's first haircut, but I didn't take any pictures because it was a spur of the moment thing. After Jimmy called her "crypt-keeper (from Tales from the Crypt) hair" I decided it was time for a short trim. She was kind of getting this mullet-like do with really thin wispy tails in the the back, (just check back at this picture for a refresher) so I trimmed it. It looks much better now. I would take a picture of it now and post it - but one, of course my battery is dead and two, she is already asleep. Somehow while over at Grandma Linda's we managed to skip afternoon nap because of all the massive playing outside, so she was super tired when we got home.

Well, there. There's a post.
