Randomness

As a mother of a 14-month old who won't nap during church and spends her time causing ruckus during Sunday School and Relief Society, I can't wait until Syd hits the 18-month mark. That's why I can't believe that some people think of opting out of nursery and why I found this blog entry so amusing. I am certainly not trying to judge the way this mom is parenting, I just find her post funny.

Anyway, here is a cute picture of my little ruckus-causer:
Sydney became obsessed with this shirt today. Every time she noticed it she would have to kiss Puss like five times. It was so funny. Finally, I changed my shirt and put this one on her. She would run all over the house and then stop suddenly and pet her shirt. When I took it off her to put her p.j.s on, she grabbed it and wouldn't let it go. She was clutching it against her chest as she drifted off to sleep. Perhaps I will have to put Shrek 2 on and show her the hilarious parts with Puss. That cat cracks me up.

Valley of Fire

My dad took us (Jimmy, Syd, my mom, Maddie, Julie and Ally) to Valley of Fire on Monday in the motor home. It was quite a fun little trip.








So, sand jumping was fun while we were doing it, but now (2 days later) my left knee is swollen and it hurts. I am just not as young as I used to be!

The Unfortunate Return of Snow White

Sure the box said "dark brown" and the picture on the box had a lady with beautiful chestnut brown hair, but this was the result of my hair dying experience:

My mom is so right. She called me Snow White the last time my hair was black. (That time was on purpose though when I was much younger and in my pseudo-goth period.) Look how pasty white my skin looks!!!!!!

Well, I guess I'd better either make a trip to Hot Topic or wait for my forest animal friends to come cheer me up and help me clean the cottage.

Digital Scrapbooking

Here is my first ever digital scrapbook page. When I first heard the concept of digital scrapbooking, I was not excited at all. It did not sound fun. But I was bored and playing around in photoshop so I decided to give it a try. I actually liked it. Don't worry, I won't be giving up real paper scrapbooking any time soon, but it was fun to play around with, so I will definitely do it again.

Perhaps I Should Feed This Girl......

Poor Sydney. She always wants "mo" food. No matter how much she eats, she always wants more. In fact, "mo" is her word for food. At least now she realizes she needs to say "mo pees" before she will actually get some.

Babies!

Sydney was one of five great-granddaughters born in the Grandma S. family last year, so Grandma S. gave Sydney these five cute little babies. Here she is opening them.


For some reason, Sydney does not like hats or headbands on her babies. She always takes them off.


Finally I catch Sydney kissing her babies on the camera!
