Okay, so onto day three of our adventure. Currently it is 4:43pm central time and we have not left Amarillo, TX yet. We waited until a U-haul store opened and had them check out the trailer lights. There was only one guy there and he couldn’t fix it. The guy that usually works in their shop was not in. I decided to call the Vegas store we rented from and they told us to call the U-haul roadside assistance number. (Perhaps Jimmy should have remembered that last night….) Anyway, it turned out that roadside assistance called in the guy that had the day off to rewire the trailer lights. Apparently the faulty wiring had shorted out some of our fuses and the converter box on our hitch. (Or something like the converter box…I don’t know.) The U-haul place we were at did not have the part to fix it, so we had to go to another one. Finally everything got fixed and we are on our way again. Tonight we plan to stop in Tulsa (6 hours). I’ll let you all know if we make it!
Made it to Tulsa. 2 am. So tired. Not even going to proofread this. Goodnight.
